Busy

This honey bee is busy feeding on a broad-leaved paperbark, Melaleuca quinquenervia, growing on the shores of Lake Ainsworth. Right now, it’s actually growing in the lake. We’ve had plenty of rain over summer and into autumn, and the lake level is high. Paperbarks can tolerate waterlogged conditions.
