Backyard Pond

And to think that when I chose this house, and AW agreed, we didn't even realize we had this at the back.  The ducks and geese paddled around the whole day, while AW and I padded about the house and blockhut (aka backyard shed).  AW is busy 'organizing' his rainwater 'barrel', which is actually an old wheelie bin Son found somewhere that is still intact and looking good, and I busied myself with some housework and moons.  This was shot in between showers.  So thankful AW spruced up the waterfront as it is a pleasure to walk around there now.

Highlight of the morning, and I guess of the whole day, was the case in MNL -- one email with attachments directly from Jay's solicitors, two long-ish WhatsApp calls with the Viking, and one Viber call of medium length with Mimi.  Apparently Jay is preparing to settle.  What I find remarkable, though, is the fact that he changed his legal counsel again, and now has, and I quote, 'given and granted unto' a rather oddly positioned individual, who is not a solicitor at all, 'full power and authority to do and perform whatsoever is necessary, required or proper to be done... as fully, to all intents and purposes, as' the company 'might lawfully do, hereby ratifying and confirming' whatever this odd individual 'shall do or lawfully cause to be done by virtue hereof'.  This person will represent him in court, and the legal work will be performed by law students from one of the prestigious universities in the country.  In short, he wants to save money as the law students are not entitled to or allowed any percentages, while this unlikely individual is already squatting in his house.  There is a hearing scheduled for next week, for which the Viking is well prepared.  I hope I get an invite for that.  It will be another one of those long nights.  We've had enough delays so we are hoping this one will push through.
