Matilda
Today was such an exciting day that I'll do my best and try to keep this description as long as possible.
I woke up and went to track where we ran yet another run that didn't seem to have any pace at all, at least of what I remember of it. We always go faster and slower in increments. We came back, did six 100 meter strides and left: no core today.
Mom picked me up and she went to Cherrywood for ten minutes because I was not going in public wearing my running tights. She got Kevin a card which I made a bunch of changes to. He hates grammatical mistakes so I wrote a message full of them while writing a bunch of great memories we had throughout the years. I showered and finished To Kill a Mockingbird.
I won't spoil it for anyone in case you're in the midst of reading it, but I am so sad it's over. Nikki put it in a good way-the empty feeling after finishing a new book.
Later in the afternoon Kevin picked me up and we were on the train to go the to city for his birthday party. Nikki, Bridgette, and his parents were there as well.
We walked to the Ellen Stardust Diner and we heard the funniest things and saw 7 people dressed up as Elmo. It brought back memories.
We got in the restaurant very early because there is power in numbers. The singers were great and the food was pretty good too. They wished Kevin a happy birthday against his free will.
Then we were off to the theatre while Kevin's parents went out to dinner. We saw Matilda and it...was...FANTASTIC. It's easily one of the best musicals I've ever seen. Afterwards, we got autographs for our Playbills. Here's me with Bertie Carvel who played Miss. Trunchbull. He was not anything less, but far superior than amazing. Words can't describe how well he performed.
We sprinted to the subway afterwards and just got on the train in time. I'm writing this Blip on the train while being excluded from a conversation about the play.
