I made some slow cooked beef in red wine pies today, a couple to be eaten this week with my son, and the remainder to go in the freezer.

Anything like that always leaves some pastry left over, and I was brought up not to waste food, so out with the last remains of a jar of mincemeat, leftover from Christmas. Join the two together and add squirty cream for a pudding!
