A morning walk

This morning our book club members met up for a walk. We are eight in our book club but only five were able to come which fitted in well with the current Covid restrictions of groups up to six people (or two households). We walked around the property of Polesden Lacey, a National Trust property. The morning started off sunny with blue skies, but by the time we left to go home a couple of hours later it felt very cold with threatening skies. After our walk we enjoyed a coffee and a chat.

On my way home I stopped off to vote - there were a few extra votes required  today as some had been delayed by lockdown last year. Today in my area I voted for the police and crime commissioner, local borough council seats and county council seats - in other areas there were mayoral votes and some parliamentary votes.

My niece, her husband and two year old daughter moved to the UK last November and due to lockdown I have not seen them yet. However I did some research today on suitable places to meet up that are halfway between our homes, as we have finally arranged to meet next weekend - in the hope that the weather is better by then. Gavin says he is done with eating pub lunches outside in this cold weather when the wind is so strong the food actually blows off your plate (that is what happened on Monday, admittedly it was just the salad leaves!)

This image was taken on my walk this morning - I loved the clouds, I think I am going through a cloud phase at the moment. We did find some beautiful bluebell woods and finally I took some images that I rather like, but tomorrow is a bluebell photography day so I decided to rather blip this one.
