Wandering through Balboa Park in San Diego offered more surprises than I might have guessed. From people watching to architecture to carousel riding to sunshine absorbing the day was lovely in that dreamlike way that only schedule-less-ness generates. This sculpture bid us adieu as we strolled "home" to our hotel.
