All hell has broken loose

The umbrella tree in the backyard came into flower this week and now every rainbow lorikeet in southeast Queensland has descended upon it.

Woe betide any poor, unsuspecting honeyeater that thinks it can share in the booty. They can only watch the feeding frenzy from the relative safety of the neighbouring silky oak.

The wall of noise as the lorikeets police their territory is deafening.
