Old Line Shack
This dilapidated building was once a line shack, a simple structure to give shelter to cowboys working on more distant parts of a ranch. They could spend the night in the shack while riding the range, whether herding cattle, fixing fences, or tending to other duties.
Today, it is very near a road on what is a relatively small ranch. It has probably been used for storage at some time, but seems to have fallen into disuse. It is close to my home and has been the subject of many of my photographs.
