Something cheerful

Today we went out for lunch with our friend to our favourite pub. We haven’t been there for ages and found the dining room has changed to a VIP room for people playing pokies, it was smelling strongly of smoke and when we sat outside we had to use high uncomfortable stools. Lucky the food was good.

Before lunch I decided to rake the leaves. It took 80 minutes. If we rake them onto the roadway a council machine comes along and vacuums them up. By the time we got back from lunch you could hardly see I had done any work at all. The leaves were tumbling down. The road is deep in leaves and at least I have made a start and the exercise is beneficial. 

No more Covid cases in NSW today after two community infections yesterday. They still don’t know the link between these two and someone in hotel quarantine. The Government has made a ruling to say no Australian citizens in India are allowed to come home due to the high numbers there. This has caused much distress especially in the Indian community and both sides of politics.
