Community Garden with a View

I hadn't been by here in a long time. Last summer, the street, off to the right, was covered with Black Lives Matter in huge letters, and with a timeline of Portland's history of Black lives written in each letter (see Extra), but this year the street is paved over, and it now has curbs, sidewalks, water run-off swales, and every sign of a big development. I don't know if it spells the end of the garden, but it's always the big bucks that get the view, and it's always history that gets trampled on. I don't know, is that too droll - probably not.
