Last of a Generation.
Today was the funeral of the last surviving aunt on my mother's side.
Beattie was the youngest of a family of 7 girls and 1 boy, and she died recently at the age of 88. Known for her very strong faith and her sense of humour, I am sure she would have had a giggle when they played the wrong song during the service.
With a limit of 30 people attending due to Covid there were only a couple of other cousins there, including her daughter. There are plans for a memorial gathering in July when, hopefully, more will be able to attend.
This was preceded by a visit to the Cardiac Centre (just for a change from Urology!) for my annual Pacemaker check. All seems to be as expected, the battery has another 4 years to go at it's present rate.
