The Path More Travelled

Ashtead Common is lovely, but just recently there has been a lot of thinning out of the woods, and it all looks rather bare. You get better views, but the road noise is louder and I wonder where the deer go to hide. I think it's part of the management of the common and I don't know enough to understand why it needed to be done.

It was a nice walk anyway; I always like being among trees.
