a cool thing happened today

firstly, thanks to all who left a comment on yesterday's blip. please visit me on flikr. i'd like to hear from you.

secondly. i think i'll be blipping just my source material in future and then linking to the finished graphic.

lastly: i was browsing through some old books in a charity shop in a neighbouring town today when this folded letter fell out. it reads:

"dear sir, i return your terracotta head, which was passed on to this department by mr kent. these things are not easy to sort out but i am fairly certain that the figure from which your head was broken was a representation of a reclining dionysus and was made at tanus(?) in the early fourth century bc. it is thus greek work, although made in italy. yours truly RA Higgins."

what a cool thing to find ??
