Soup

The cold temperatures have followed us home. I'm going nowhere in this weather!

My mother always said if you can make a pot of soup there's no need for hunger. I get the sentiment, a pot of homemade soup feeds the soul and nourishes the belly as well as being cheap to make.

All the better if there's the addition of a little grated nutmeg.
