Meall a'Bhucaille..

still well covered, despite its modest altitude. The Geese in the foreground are nesting here. Enjoyed a lovely dry early morning walk, in an area with Skylarks, Curlew, Lapwings, Oystercatchers all calling and nesting. Delighted to hear a Golden Plover too and the Cuckoo was adding her call.
On the lochan there were Wigeon, Little Grebe and Black headed gulls.
There were Hares and Roe Deer .
Saw Petty Whin in flower too so picked some and painted it later.
The rain didn't arrive till the afternoon, but it was chilly at 4C.
