On The Edge

First for a while. Mixed day in the footie - Leeds beat Spurs 3-1 but United lose 0-2 to Hibs in the Scottish Cup semi-final. It sounded like United never hit the slick play that demolished Aberdeen in the quarter-final. And Hibs are undoubtedly tougher opponents at the moment. Down to the regional lists in the Scottish election, with I think just Edinburgh Northern and Leith to declare. Not sure whay Edinburgh counting is so slow. Edinburgh Eastern, our constituency just declared and our MSP got in with an increased majority. Looking like the the SNP will be comfortably the biggest party but just short of a majority on their own. With the Greens there will be  a majority of MSPs in favour of independence - another referendum in the lifetime of this parliament should be on the cards. Like in England, where Brexit seems to continue to matter (how else can you explain the Tories continued success despite sleaze, lying and incompetence?), the constitutional question remains paramount up here too.
