Damson Gin

It's been a dull dreary day and I've felt no incentive to go out looking for things to photograph: so an indoor shot today

I've made sloe gin on a number of occasions in the past, harvesting sloes from local hedgerows. We also have a damson tree in the garden and last September I collected some and, with some supermarket gin and a bit of sugar, set about producing some damson gin. I left the concoction in a cool cupboard, giving the jar occasional agitations and filtered it out in January. I've been enjoying little 'nips' from time to time since - and very nice it is too!
