Blossom on Bench
We had all sorts of plans, but when we saw the barber was open and free, Mike went in to get his first proper haircut in over a year, while I waited at Morango Bar, on their patio. Realized that everyone around me was talking Spanish, which means the border is open, hadn't realized.
The trees in the main square nearby are in blossom, wonderful strong smell. Asked the gardener what the tree is, but he didn't know... anyway, got some of the seeds and planted them, let's see whether they come to anything. Here are the seeds and blossom that had fallen on one of the square's benches.
P.S. My daughter has identified it as a Chinaberry tree (Melia azedarach).
Gratefuls:
- Mourão opening up, loving it
- chat with Marcos, who is working with the cigano lads
- going to church this evening, and the catechism kids being there, first time in ages, certainly adds a bit of life
