Media circus
Before the rain arrived I thought I’d go for a walk both to test my back and to see the media settlement outside the Parliament.
It was cold and grey but the walk was good. When I arrived I found the media centre behind security barriers and shrouded by trees in blossom. There was a general hum everywhere of generators. The Radical Road up under the crags is closed due to risk of falling rocks so I could not easily gain height to look down on it. I did get a couple of photos of what I’d been expecting to see - see extras.
While the park was busy with runners and others walking, the area outside the Parliament was generally quiet. So good to get this overview in the main blip.
Walked back up the Royal Mile finding some of the new developments near Jeffrey Street.
Then the rain came on and I headed home ( the last part by bus).
Shop then watched some of the results coming in - from the media tents.
Evening spent watching Citizen Kane which was on recently and which I had recorded as I had discovered others in the family here had not seen it. Consensus is that while it was innovative for its time nowadays Paddington 2 edges it for entertainment value.
