They breed them tough in the Highlands
A dry morning and early afternoon was followed by lots of very heavy rain which cleared to leave a beautiful night.
Slow start to the morning before heading off on a circular walk near the river which was about 4-5km. 9km later we made it back to the van just as the heavens opened. Delicious hone made soup and sourdough bread flavoured with fennel and caraway seeds hit the spot before we retired to our beds for a refreshing nap.
Dinner was lovely - a Hairy bikers beef olives recipe- cooked by our friends and served with baked potato and green veg. A few rounds of dominos followed before we all headed for an early night.
I loved the tenacity of this tiny tree growing in a gap between the stones on a bridge over the river. I think Admirer would have seen the silly side.
