Single Tulip

We didn't actually plant this pretty tulip which is growing all on it's own in one of our beds. We've lived here for 18 years now, so it's doing well I think - (although I've no idea how long tulip bulbs normally keep going for).

It's been a very damp day today and the greens of the mosses were standing out brightly on my walk along an upper path in the Glen. See extra for a favourite view of mine, where the path bends round corners and drops away steeply at the side.
