Hair today...

As I have to get up so early at the moment so leaving at 7 to drive to London for a hair appointment was easy.   Drove up in lashing rain and of course arrived way too early (parking easily but expensively in the Cavendish Sq car park) but couldn’t sit inside with a coffee yet.   Such a relief to get hair done!  

Liberty not looking so lovely at the moment because it’s having major restoration works - so all the beautiful windows are covered up.  

Drove over to  B/C’s in Stratford which is always a bit nervewracking because their new build house postcode doesn’t seem to exist on SatNav.  We ate outside but under an awning with me holding Ivy throughout lunch and remembering the joy of stabbing the food with one hand.  

Drive home was lovely as the light was beautiful and that quadrant of the M25 was empty and one of the most rural so very beautiful for a lot of the way.  

Watched the film White Tiger which was excellent.  We’d both read the novel when it won the Booker prize but didn’t remember the story, more the tone and thought it was superbly directed.
