1950’s beige
Farsta is the more successful of Stockholm’s “ABC towns”. Planned in the 1950’s, the intention was to provide residents with work (Arbete), housing (Bostad) and shopping (Centrum) all within reasonable distance.
I don’t know how successful the “work” part is, as many live there and commute to the inner city. But it’s certainly a popular place to live (mainly because of the easy commute) and the shopping centre has grown into somewhat of a regional hub.
The other ABC towns were less successful and mostly exist as a monochromatic suburb, just a little too far away to be within convenient commuting distance from the city.
