Machair scene

The flowers are just starting but the grass is not long enough to hide the waders yet. The machair is pretty much unique to the Western Isles and provides a valuable habitat.
These birds are probalby all on their way north with a Whimbrel in the foreground and Golden Plovers as the supporting cast.
Another wet day but another day we were lucky to miss the showers. It can't last!
