Harry's journal

Hi ran away, but came back

Longest 20 minutes sense Bertram made this same stunt. He was out with my wife and kids at our cottage. My wife saw him run up to the house, and followed few minutes later. But he never got in and had disappeared. We all went out looking for him. The good thing is that our cottage is on a small island, so he can't get far, but million things went true my mind while searching. Perhaps a a half kilometer from our house I saw two moose running, and this gave me a pretty good idea what had happened. Called my wife, who was on the other side of the island. While we talked Ulvar ran in to her, from the directions I had seen the moose. So, most probably he had gone out hunting moose.  Great relief to get him back but Ulvar had obviously had the time of his life. I can't remember feeling this desperate with Bertram. Perhaps I am getting old?. I never thought Ulvar had this hunting instinct in him, as he is a whole lot softer and easier than Bertram. But, obviously he is a border terrier after all. As writing this he lies next to me exhausted after an exiting day. The worst thing was that we never saw or heard him leave. Bertram always made a noise when he went after something.
