Raven

I cycled along to Hobbister and Loch of Kirbister hoping to hear my first cuckoo of the spring and was successful, though I couldn't see the bird. Nearby, this raven was cawing loudly to its mate- they probably have a brood in the old building. Back in Kirkwall I saw my first two house martins of the year among about 20 swallow and 25 sand martin.
