Desert Racing

I have long read stories about the Baja 1000. This off-road race the length of the Baja Peninsula (most years anyway) has been taking place since 1967. It has spawned an entire off-road industry in the deserts of northern Mexico. Today, directly across the street from our complex a shorter version was being staged much to my delight. I didn't venture down to the pit area, but shot some photos from the road above. In the future, I will be down in the thick of the action for photos more in line with what I have seen in the magazines publicizing this motorsport.
