Collessie Church in yellow.
A good day. Got up. Put away yesterday's laundry. Loaded the washing machine. Set Roomba in action downstairs. Showered and dressed, fed the birds and had breakfast doing crosswords and reading the news. All pretty much as expected except for Johnson wanting to meet with Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales governments so they can all unite and pull together. A bit late in the day in my opinion.
Gave the kitchen a quick wipe over and cleaned the bathroom. I couldn't believe I was being so virtuous,
After lunch Andy came for coffee and the afternoon drifted past. Wonderful news about his daughter Emma. She has been having IVF treatment and it has just resumed after being disrupted by the pandemic. She was nearly at the end of the course and is now definitely pregnant. So Andy will be a grandad at the start of December. His birthday is about then so he and his grandchild could have the same birthday. He's already making it clear that he is not prepared to share a birthday cake.
Went out after five to photograph and had an explore of some backroads, Found a bluebell wood I'll go back to. It was rather dark and overcast. Went home via Collessie as a field there often has oil seed rape. There it was in full flood and the sun came out too. Couldn't believe my luck. Stopped for a quick walk at Charlottetown then came home to eat pheasant breast with chestnuts and spring greens washed down by a big glass of red wine. A very good day all round.
