Mother's Day 2021

We started our service this Mother's Day with a Parent-Child Dedication in which the parents pledge to raise their child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,so that one day when he is ready he will choose to enter a personal relationship with Jesus.  After joining our hearts in worship through song led by Ben and Daniel and a moving choral rendition of "Is He Worthy?", Bro. David spoke to us about the woman in our lives that we are honoring today, our mother.  He used Proverbs 31, not as a measuring stick to tell us where we are failing, but as a an aspirational guide,  He spoke of her hand as willing to work, to do what needs to be done, including reaching out to the needy;  her mouth, which instructs with wisdom and kindness; her eyes, that watch carefully over all that God has given her and her heart, which is filled with love for God, for her husband and for her family.  My husband and I are both blessed to still have our mothers with us, though we don't get to spend as much time with them as we would like.but we are grateful for them and the way they raised us!
