Not quite open

I think the canal is supposed to be open, most of it is now full of water but 2 locks remain drained. This is the sea lock and it is still a big mess.

On the other side of the bay where they store their rubbish  gear is the remains of the Common gull colony. I see at least 3 pairs on their nest and suspect they have eggs, see extra, one down by the wall and 2 on the spoil heap. The law says no disturbance of birds on their nest, shall I report them again!
