A day of contrasts

Started off the day with common prayer and examen with our extended household - as we do on Saturdays. Then we went to see the house were looking to buy with a friend from church for advice on how structurally ok it is - and had a lovely chat with the owners family while we were there.

Then after lunch we headed off to Birmingham to buy foundation... And what a contrast to the quiet small community we started the day with! Seemed like the whole of the West Midlands was shopping in Birmingham yesterday! We bought what we needed and headed out towards this church for some peace again before heading home where dad had cooked us dinner!
