I always tell them to be careful of crumbs when eating their muffins up the hill, but it's usually couched in terms of not attracting dogs, three of which had already hassled us on the way up. Now that he's decided he doesn't like birds peering at him from a few feet away he might stop picking wee crumbs away and just take bites.
