The Sun Shone and then it Snowed

Spent the night at Kildrummy Castle Hotel in Strathdon
on the edge of the Cairngorms.
As promised it snowed overnight,
so I went out about 11.00am to photograph the castle ruins.
Typically, no sooner at the ruins than the snow really started to come down again.
Very fine and sticky.
Gave up trying to photograph the castle as it was into the wind
and couldn't keep my camera dry.
However, for 5 minutes the sun continued to shine through the snow storm
creating some magical effects.
Took lots of photographs this weekend but this is one of my favourites.
Worth hitting the L key,if only to see the snowflakes.
