Gloxinia

This plant has managed to stay alive on my kitchen window sill for nearly 8 years. There was a special offer on at the garden centre: I got a purple one, mum got a white one. I have inherited the white one but it isn't flowering yet.

I was apprehensive as I approached the charity shop this afternoon. I thought with so many deaths and house clearances there would be a notice up saying "We don't need your old stuff either!" There wasn't, the sign indicated that they still wanted things. Great!

No faffing in PS with colour swatches and brushes today. The background is real. It's my favourite scarf.
