Thoughtful Chimps

Mum's Mothers Day treat was to go to Monkey World. I'd never been and don't think I saw it at it's best as it was pretty chilly and all the sensible primates were inside, wrapped up in blankets, straw or just generally waiting for spring.

Orang Utans are may favourite and provided the most interesting spectacle. The female, Oshine, thumbing through a magazine and appearing to pay attention to the content. A behaviour she had learnt after years of being held captive as a house pet, dressed in human clothes, fed sweets etc. in South Africa.
