Big Gun for a Small Target

As it turned out, I was shooting birds with the 100-400 lens plus the 1.4 teleconverter for 560mm, when this lovely Pearl Crescent landed on some grass nearby.  I had to shoot through a fair amount of foliage but I was pretty happy with the final shot and it seemed perfect for today's Tiny Tuesday Challenge "animal."  The wingspan for this beauty is only about 1 to 1.5 inches.  It is much better viewed in LARGE.

More dental drama this afternoon:  I am scheduled for a root canal and not a minute too soon.  My poor mouth is taking quite a beating.
