Corwen Project
Sitting in the surgery carpark waiting for my husband to have his second covid vaccination.
The photo is of the work being carried out on the Corwen Project which is the extension of the Llangollen Railway from Carrog to Corwen.
When Beeching closed many of the railways in the 60s, the buildings and sheds at Corwen were sold off. The railway for years went from Llangollen to Carrog, but it's always been a vision to extend and reclaim the original railway. Some of this is impossible due to building work and roads but the Corwen line extension is complete. The Station building and ticket office are currently being built around covid regulations.
