The Willow Tearooms
The Willow Tearooms are tearooms in Glasgow, designed by internationally renowned architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which opened for business in October 1903. They quickly gained enormous popularity, and are the most famous of the many Glasgow tearooms that opened in the late 19th and early 20th century. My photo is of the Chinese Tearoom.
Four Story and I had some time shopping in Glasgow city centre before going to the Willow Tearooms for afternoon tea, one of my treats from C for Mothers' Day. It was wonderful, sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, shortbread and cakes. And great conversation.
A lucky mum, me!!!!
