Last year we missed the bluebells at Capard wood due to the lockdown, so today being the first day that allowed unrestricted travel in Ireland, we visited Capard Wood for a walk and to photograph the bluebells. I have never managed to capture the beauty of a bluebell wood and this year was no exception; as we were leaving the wood I realised that I had made a very basic mistake, forgetting to check the aperture setting, with the result that there is only a small band of flowers that are any way in focus.
