An early birthday treat for Darcy Dean with special love from his Grandad and Grandma in NZ. 'The Garden's Secrets' by Sarah Johnson, Illustrated by Deborah Hinde. I visited this award winning garden when Darcy was still doing time on the inside. I was 4 months pregnant at the time. It is based in Hamilton City on the banks of the mighty Waikato River and each of its themed gardens tells a story. It is a magical place that explores the cultural meaning and context of gardens over the past 4000 years. A must see for anyone finding themselves in the North Island of NZ.
