Whatever it takes

We have been trying to get Orla to actually fall asleep in her cot with about a 90% success rate.

We read books to her, she has her milk and most of the time she nods off gently on about the fourth or fifth book.

Tonight she was having none of it, after about fifteen books Gem and Claire had had enough. I took her into the mancave where I was listening to vinyl and within about two minutes she was fast asleep.

Not sure what this tells you about my music tastes...haha.

I think sometimes she just doesn't want to miss out and when you try to encourage her to sleep she just will not. Let her think she can stay up and she happily lets the tiredness take hold and drops off.
