Mountain Leader.....
....so, the day started with a 30min jaunt up and down the stairs at Eduardo's flat. Then back home to assist Louis and Owen with their scrambled eggs, salmon, mushrooms and tomato for Nancy. Freshly brewed, ground coffee and orange juice made for a most acceptable Mothers Day breaky.
Thence to Carlops to rendezvous with the CoolJim's for some reminiscing. In their youth, Nancy and Moy's family had a weekend caravan amongst the community of hutters to the rear of the village and many happy weekends were spent from Friday to Sunday (and even Monday) in the wee caravan and, of course, The Allan Ramsay Hotel. We found the spot formally occupied by the caravan but were surprised to see that the community of hutters was still in situ. It's an appealing way to spend the weekend.
Thence thence to the pub for some Mothers Day menu. I settled on the Horse Meat fillet for my main...tastes like steak.
Thence, thence, thence to Penicuik to visit my ma. She looked great.
Back hame now....pooped.
