Grape Embryos
Promised I'd show you our grapes when they flowered, and here they are: the spiky bits are the male parts; the spheres the female, which, when fertilised, will become the grapes. Something like that, anyway. Such creativity!
Bit sad that we only appear to have two pears left, though if they both survive, it will be twice as many as last year. Wonder what we're doing wrong...
Off to Netty's for "supper" now, though it sounds more like what I'd call dinner - so this is short for now, anyway.
Gratefuls:
- getting all the bedding and towels washed and dried and remade, trying to get as much done before weekend as possible, as having my first vaccine tomorrow, just in case I feel ill afterwards
- the sound of doves cooing in the laurel tree
- the fountain/bird bath Mike is creating, it really is something!
