500

Hurray, I made it! 500 blips. I must admit that it is sometimes hard to stay motivated. But the positive feedback, from followers and others, is really helpful. And of course the results in the challenges.
Another thing that motivates is the contributions from you, the colleagues blippers. Great, splendid pictures, brilliant ideas. And then the accompanying texts. It really feels like a community and I think it great to be able to be a part of it.

These old coins together build the number 500. Quite a lot of them have the silhouette of the head of the Dutch queen Wilhelmina. She was the great-grandmother of the current king. Yes, people in the UK, there are countries where the queen passes her job to the next in line.

The extra shows a 5 lire coin from Italy, issued in 1955, before I was born. I have the coin since 1977, when it was still in use (although we often got the return paid with sweets). The value of this coin was €0.002582/£0.002218/US$0.00312.
I intended to combine the coin with a 100 lire note (yes, €0.50), but decided differently.
