Our French Friends III

Today was our third annual visit with Marie-Madeleine, Sylvain and their children, at their home outside Paris. Our two previous visits were here in Paris last year and in 2011 at their home. The children are Grégoire (now 4) and the twins, Flavian (with his father) and Clothilde on the right, both now 2 and 4 months.

Reiterating my first comment, Marylee met Marie-Madeleine's mother, who is French, when they were at Oxford in the late 1960s. Then when Marylee spent 19 months in Paris in 1990-91, Marie-Madeleine, then in her teens, stayed with Marylee when she came to Paris for her weekly classical guitar lessons. Contact lapsed after that, but we reconnected in 2010 when we saw an announcement for a concert by Marie-Madeleine in Paris. Both she and Sylvain are now professional musicians (guitar and accordeon respectively), with mainly teaching jobs.
