We had a coffee this morning in Edgeware Road, a part of town close to where I grew up. This 1934 photo of the St. Albans swimming pool was on the wall. The New Zealand swimming championships were held there on 10th February 1934. As children we often came to this pool in summer. Entry was sixpence. The pool was closed many years ago along with the local movie theatre which is now a supermarket
