Royd Moor

Another meeting up at Royds Moor yesterday.  This time we walked down the track at the side of the look-out point rather than concentrate on the wind turbines.  The lichen close-ups are from a previous visit.  The light was lovely and soft and a skylark was singing, so a lovely place to be.  You can see for miles, Emley Moor Tv masts in one direction and the Manchester road across the Pennines in the other.

Earlier I collected bird food from Argo before dropping off the photographs for the NHS Rehab team at the clinic in Penistone.  I also had a quick trip to see Tracey at the Country Market, where I bought one of her fruit cakes.  I now have lots of sweet stuff as I also got a Blacker Hall Goody Box from GG (it’s my birthday tomorrow) and three new prints to have framed.  Sadly it appears my framer in Stocksbridge might have gone out of business.  Lunch at Cannon Hall Garden Centre and then home before the heavy rain came down (I’m not sure it had rained here.). Followed by a sit.  I was really tired yesterday when I got back.  We didn’t walk far but sometimes Tai Chi takes a lasting toll on my ankle and the day before was Tai Chi time.

The extra has another panel, this time with turbines - not all taken yesterday,  I’ve been creating composites from collections ready for a talk I’m doing for the camera club on Wednesday.
