Viaduct

We went for a walk this morning along part of the route of the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton railway, which used to end at Winchester Chesil Station (now a multi-storey car park) until the line closed for good in 1961. Part of the route goes over Hockley Viaduct, 380 metres long, which has only recently been reopened as a footpath. There are good views of St Catherine's Hill, St Cross, the Cathedral ... and the M3.
