Visions of Decay

During the first lockdown I found some ancient gourd seeds, and planted them out without much expectation that they would grow. However, grow they did and produced some vivid yellow fruits.  The largest one has been sitting on my kitchen windowsill since autumn, but I recently noted that it was starting to decay and its skin was producing some wonderful patterns.  So here is a selection worked up as a triptych for today's Abstract Thursday (just don't try to associate it with the optional theme of topsy-turvy!)
