Occasional flakes

The band of snow clouds hung high in a serene sky and there were occasional flakes blowing on the cutting easterly wind. The light and clouds were of calm and the tones warm. But for the wind. We scurried for cover as the temperature fell and the cloud band loomed on us in the evening sky.
